|Tiderunner Bassmasters is located in Pasadena Maryland with members in Pasadena, Glen Burnie,
Crofton, Millersville, Ellicott City and Severn. Our monthly meetings are held in Pasadena on the first
Monday of each month. The club was formed in 1989 by eight friends (six of whom were formally
together in another club) who were looking to have a more structured club than those that they had
experience with previously. They wanted club hats and shirts to identify the club, members that woud
regularly attend meetings and tournaments. And they wanted this in a friendly, social and competitive
atmosphere where everyone got along and helped one another. The members have tried to hold true to
these ideals throughout the years. Presently, the club has 9 members of various ages and backgrounds
with 7 boaters and 2 non-boaters. We fish 8-10 tournaments a year (some years we fish a 2-day
tournament). We have fished rivers in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and on the Eastern Shore.
Some of the rivers we have fished are Potomac, Dundee, Susquehanna Flats, Sassafras, Wicomico,
Nanticoke, Chester, Choptank, Rappahannock (VA), Chickahominy (VA), Falls Lake (NC), Gaston (NC) and
Kerr (NC). We don't have a mandatory pairing policy for tournaments except for non-boaters and
members with boat problems, but members can pair-up if they wish. Our "Mr. Bass" is determined by a
point system based solely on fish caught in tournaments. Tournament winners receive plaques at the
Club Banquet at the end of each fishing year; the only money payout is for a Lunker pot at each
tournament. Over the years, six different members have made the Maryland Bass Nation State Team.
67% of our members have been in the club for over 12 years. Lastly, as previously stated, the three main
ingredients of Tiderunner are camaraderie, friendly competition and fun.
